Echo Beach

Echo Beach is where Canggu's experienced surfers head – a black-sand beach with a powerful reef break, beachfront seafood grills and dramatic sunsets over the waves every clear evening.

Known locally as Pantai Batu Mejan, it lies at the end of Jalan Pantai Batu Mejan, a little further up the coast from Batu Bolong. Fast lefts and rights break over the reef, while everyone else settles in at the beachfront cafés to watch the action – and the sky.
